This policy explains what data is processed when you visit vinmaster.autos, why it is processed, how long it is kept and what rights you have.
1. About this policy
This website is identified by its domain name, vinmaster.autos (“we”, “us”, “the site”). The policy covers your visits to the site and the messages you send through our contact form, which is how you can reach us. Once you follow a link to a partner’s website, that partner’s own privacy policy applies.
2. What this website is
The site is an advertising and information page. It sells nothing, provides no service of its own, offers no accounts and takes no payments. It shows vehicle information compiled from publicly available sources and redirects visitors to independent third-party partners, where they may decide to buy the services those partners offer. What the site does and does not do is set out in our Terms of Use.
3. What data we process
We do not ask for your name, contact details, account or payment data, and we do not build profiles of named persons. We process the following:
- Technical and analytics data. For every page request: your IP address and the country derived from it, the address of the page requested (including a VIN you searched for), the page that referred you, your browser and device headers (user agent, language, encoding, client hints), the response status and timing, the identifiers stored in our cookies and the kind of visitor you are (arriving from a search engine, directly, or as an automated client).
- Contact data. Only if you use the contact form: the name and email address you enter, the topic, an optional VIN and page link, your message, and the IP address and browser of the device that sent it.
- Vehicle data. VINs, specifications and details of vehicles compiled from publicly available listings, records and VIN decoding. Such data can in some cases relate indirectly to an identifiable person, for example a seller.
4. Why we process it and on what basis
We process technical and analytics data in our legitimate interest in running, securing and funding the site, and contact data because you asked us to reply. Where applicable data protection law, including the GDPR where it applies, requires a legal basis, these are ours. The purposes are:
- understanding how the site is found and used, in aggregated form;
- keeping the site secure: detecting automated clients, preventing abuse and limiting how often the contact form can be sent;
- choosing automatically, from analytical data, the partner a visitor is redirected to for a given VIN. This selection has no legal or similarly significant effect on you: it only decides which partner’s page opens;
- answering your messages and handling correction and removal requests.
6. Redirects to partners
The services offered when you follow a report link are provided by independent third parties, not by us. For each VIN our system selects the partner automatically, based on analytical data; we do not publish a list of partners because the selection can change. The link may carry the VIN and a referral code so that the partner can attribute the visit to us and we may earn a commission.
From the moment you reach the partner’s website, the partner processes your data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. We never receive your payment details or the contents of what you buy.
7. Vehicle data and your right to object
We did not collect vehicle data from you: it is compiled from publicly available listings and records and from decoding the VIN. If information on this site relates to you, you can object to its publication at any time by sending a data removal request with the VIN or the page link. We review every request, reply within one month, and remove the data unless compelling legitimate grounds require us to keep it.
8. How long we keep data
- Technical and analytics data: no longer than 12 months, after which it is deleted.
- Contact messages: as long as needed to handle your request, after which they are deleted; earlier if you ask us to through the contact form.
- Vehicle data: while it is relevant to visitors, or until it is removed on request.
9. Recipients and transfers
We do not sell data and do not share it for marketing. The providers that host the site, deliver its content and protect it from attacks process data on our behalf, and may do so in other countries; where they do, we rely on the safeguards applicable data protection law requires. We disclose data to other parties only where the law obliges us to.
10. Your rights
Where applicable data protection law, including the GDPR where it applies, grants them, you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict its processing, to object to it and to receive it in a portable form, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. To exercise a right, use our contact form; we may ask for the VIN or page link needed to find the data. Technical and analytics data cannot be linked to a named person, so requests concerning it can usually not be fulfilled.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the current version; continuing to use the site after a change means that the new version applies.
